After the completion of matchday two’s fixtures, there are presently four teams that are tied for first place in the Nigeria Women’s Football League, also known as the NWFL.

The teams are known as the Abia Angels, the Bayelsa Queens, the Rivers Angels, and the Nasarawa Amazons.

After two games played in the NWFL, each of the four teams has collected a point for themselves.

The only teams in the league that have not yet earned a point are the Adamawa Queens, the Royal Queens, and the Naija Ratels, who are new to the competition.

The league is contested in a condensed style, with teams being divided into Groups A and B respectively.

In order to determine who takes first place in the league, a playoff with three clubs from each group will be held.

The winner of this competition will advance to the qualification phase of the CAF Champions League.

The previous year’s NWFL champions were the Delta Queens, who prevailed over the Bayelsa Queens in the championship game held in Asaba.
