The National Youth Service Corps, or NYSC, has responded to rumors circulating online that corps members may be sent to the country of Niger Republic to participate in a military operation.

After a video claimed the federal government will send corps members to wage a war to restore democracy in the country, the NYSC responded.

According to a statement released by the scheme’s Director of Press and Public Relations Eddy Megwa, the allegations in the narrative are completely false.

According to the strategy, the purveyor, a sketch and content maker, must have made up the scenario in order to attract more viewers to his channel.

“The general public, especially corps members, prospective corps members, and their parents, should disregard the story, which borders on criminality in its entirety,” it added.

“Content and skit makers are urged to refrain from releasing incorrect material that could disrupt national stability.

No effort will be spared by law enforcement in their pursuit of the story’s authors.
