Lionel Messi of Argentina was ranked as one of the top three best players in the history of football by Felipe Melo, a former midfielder for Brazil.

Melo elevated the status of the Inter Miami captain to that of football greats Pele and Diego Maradona, both of whom have since passed away.

Despite being well above the age of 30, Messi continues to be a dominant force for both his club and national teams.

After guiding Argentina to their third World Cup victory the previous year in Qatar, the 36-year-old recently won a record-extending eighth Ballon d’Or award in 2023. Argentina won their third World Cup overall.

“Brazil will take on the team that won the world championship, and they have Lionel Messi, who, along with Pele and Maradona, is in my opinion the best player in the history of the sport.” According to Ole, Melo stated.

Messi may not have the same kind of pace he did a few years ago, but he has significantly improved his vision of the game.

“Despite everything, Messi is still the finest player in the world. It is unfathomable, and it is incredible.
