Posted by Innocent Udoh, 54, appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Friday for allegedly stealing 70 phones worth N1.75 million.
Udoh was accused of conspiring to steal and was not given an address.
But the accused entered a not guilty plea to the accusation.
The theft was carried out on March 30 starting at 12:00:00 a.m., according to the prosecutor, ASP Sikiru Ibrahim, who testified in court. m. 5 00 a. m. in Ibadan’s Mokola district.
Ibrahim claimed that Udoh had taken 20 used Android phones worth N1 million and 50 used Itel phones worth N750,000 from Mr. Dot Nwaoma Ezeco.
According to him, the offenses violated Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Oyo State Criminal Laws from 2000.
The magistrate, Mrs. T. B. Oyekanmi granted the defendant bail in the amount of N500,000 with two sureties in the same amount.
