In Abuja, NSCDC personnel allegedly opened fire on students

Three Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) officers have reportedly been arrested for allegedly shooting two Senior Secondary School, Life Camp, Abuja students.

According to the Daily Trust, the personnel were drafted to the institution for the ongoing SSCE external exams.

It is unknown what prompted the shooting.

The affected students, on the other hand, were claimed to be receiving treatment at Abuja’s Gwarinpa Hospital.

Following the shooting, some students allegedly vandalized three NSCDC patrol vehicles in protest.

Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesman, verified the event.

Adeh stated that police have restored order in the affected neighborhood.

She went on to say that the event has been investigated by the Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba.
