“Insecurity damages Nigeria’s reputation” Mohamed Idris, Minister of Information

In order to steer the nation in the correct way, the Nigerian government on Friday urged nationalism, patriotism, and support for the military services.

General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, paid Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, a courtesy call in Abuja.

He claims that the motivation for insurgency in Nigeria has shifted from philosophy to financial gain.

The bombing incident in Kaduna State, which resulted in the mistaken death of over a hundred innocent Nigerians by the military, was deemed regrettable by the minister.

“Insurgency and banditry issues give the country a bad image, and if not nipped in the bud, then there will be a problem,” stated Idris. We have to revive the idea of nationalism and patriotism because our national values are eroding.

But it’s critical that the public understands the actions of the armed forces. They work day and night and even give their all to ensure our safety and the safety of the nation. President Bola Tinubu has expressed regret for the sad events that transpired at Tudun Biri in Kaduna State. We argue that more research should be done the next time.

“We do, however, want to express our gratitude to the armed forces for everything they have done and continue to do to protect us.”
