Ayodele Fayose, a former governor of the state of Ekiti, responded to the recent disciplinary actions and suspension of a number of important Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members.

He claimed that after losing a national election, the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) ought to have been extremely sober and reflective, but instead it proceeded to scatter party chieftains.

On Friday, he tweeted his query

“Just think of what they would have done if Atiku had won; they would have been beyond abhorrent politically.

Should we express our gratitude for Atiku’s defeat? At least, as things stand, the party can pick itself up and move on as we bid Ayu farewell. “.

Imagine the PDP National Working Committee, which should be very sober and reflective after losing a national election, going after party leaders who they deemed to be their enemies and suspending them, Fayose continued.

Remember that the PDP’s NWC reviewed and overturned some of its chieftains’ suspensions on Thursday after suspending its national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, earlier in the week.

Former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Anyim Pius Anyim, Dennis Ityavyar, Aslam Aliyu, and H. are among the members whose suspension was lifted by the Party’s acting chairman, Umar Damagum. E. Ibrahim Shema.
