Kepa Arrizabalaga, a goalkeeper for Chelsea, is free to sign with Bayern Munich before the end of the summer transfer season.

This follows reports on Sport1 that Bayern Munich had begun negotiations with Chelsea over a possible transfer of Kepa.

With Yann Sommer now playing for Inter and Manuel Neuer still recovering from a leg break sustained in December, Bayern Munich have spent the whole summer trying to acquire a new starting goalkeeper.

David Raya, a goalkeeper for Brentford, has agreed to join Arsenal despite interest from the Bundesliga champions.

Kepa was trained by Bayern Munich’s current head coach, Thomas Tuchel, at Chelsea.

Tuchel wants to rejoin with Kepa at Bayern Munich and has suggested the Spaniard to the club’s board after working with him at Paris Saint-Germain.
