Actor John Okafor, also known as Mr. Ibu, is unwell. His wife Stella Maris has accused the actor’s adopted daughter, Jasmine, of embezzling money meant for his operation.

According to the Ebantel, Mr. Ibu battles an undisclosed illness and turned to the internet in October to ask for help from the public.

He had seven surgeries, but this week they had to amputate one of his legs.

Stella Maris, the spouse of Mr. Ibu, claimed on Monday in a post on her Instagram page that Jasmine had been surreptitiously handling the bank account designated for donations.

She also responded to Jasmine’s assertions that she was given N1 million to spend on herself.

“My spouse was present when the N1 million donation was sent into my account to help with household expenses. Why Jasmine, a total stranger, should be bringing me down for family concerns is beyond me.

“The primary Access Bank account, where donations are made, is not accessible to me. Jasmine is secretly in charge of it, but she is fabricating all kinds of falsehoods about me to maintain total control over that account. That’s a tale for an other day—how she conned her way and took over the account, she said.
