Odeh of Rivers United scores the week’s CAF Confederation Cup goal

Paul Odeh of Rivers United’s goal against Academica Petroleos club do Lobito has been chosen as one of the CAF Confederation Cup’s top first-match goals.

In Rivers United’s 3-0 triumph at the Godswill Akpabio International, Uyo, Odeh scored an incredible long-range goal.

The other goals chosen are the Islam Merili screamer from USM Algiers against Al-Hilal SC, the Ghanam Mohammed goal from Modern Future against Supersports, the close-range goal from Simone Lepau of Sagrada Esperanca against CO Coyah SC, and the header from Yusuf Obama of Zamalek against Abu Salam.

On Sunday, the former winners of the Nigeria Premier Football League will take on Dream SC from Ghana in their matchday two encounter.

The Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi is listed as the venue for the game.
