In the current January transfer window, former Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs has pushed the Gunners to sign Douglas Luiz from Aston Villa in exchange for Eddie Nketiah or Emile Smith Rowe.
According to reports, Luiz has become Arsenal’s top target once again.
The Brazilian is reportedly valued at around £100 million by Aston Villa.
Aston Villa is apparently willing to pay up to £80 million for the player, but Arsenal is willing to give just £60 million.
When addressing ESPN FC, Gibbs stated:
Getting someone similar to Douglas Luiz is most likely the wisest course of action.
“You may switch players, and there are definitely bargains to be made there. Deals can be done there throughout this window with Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie [Nketiah].
