Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, claimed on Tuesday that President Bola Tinubu’s peace resolutions are directed at Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara.
According to Sani, the peace treaty will remove the knife from Fubara’s neck and place it behind his back.
According to the Ebantel, Fubara and Wike have been at odds over control of Rivers State’s political structure and finances.
The schism resulted in legislators defecting to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and some Commissioners leaving from the Fubara-led executive council.
Tinubu arranged a peace pact between Wike and Fubara in the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Monday in an attempt to end the issue.
Tinubu delivered an eight-point resolution as part of the peace agreement during the meeting.
However, Sani emphasized that the agreement will just buy time until the next round of fighting.
Sani stated on X, “I have now read the Rivers agreement.”The agreement will remove the knife from Sim’s neck and place it behind his back.
“The agreement will bury the hatchets in leaves.”Outwardly, the agreement sells peace, but inside, it buys time for another round of fighting.
“However, It can be better if the dialogue is periodically assessed and improved upon.”
