Southern Kaduna killings: Gov. Sani exposes assailants’ only goal

Senator Uba Sani, Governor of Kaduna State, has condemned the bandit raid on Southern Kaduna villages.

The Ebantel claimed that the attack resulted in the deaths of several people and the captivity of many others.

After a former councillor of Dawaki Ward, Aminu Khalid, disclosed to journalists that 17 persons were slain and 58 others were thought kidnapped when terrorists raided three communities in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Sani branded the attackers as animals in human skin.

The former councilman went on to say that the incident took place in three villages: Ungwan Sako, Kunkurai, and Dokan Kaji.

He claimed that a gun battle between the attackers and the residents resulted in the rescue of 20 civilians while nine others were killed.

The Governor denounced the killings and said the culprits had no place in a civilized community.

He stated that his administration would go to whatever effort to find and prosecute the assailants.

“The sole aim of these beasts in human skin is to reverse the gains the good people of Kaduna State have made in rebuilding trust,” he wrote in a post on Facebook.
