The Acting Comptroller-General of Customs Pays a Visit to Ogun

On Sunday, Adewale Bashir Adeniyi, acting comptroller-general of the Nigeria Customs Service, traveled to Idiroko, the border town between Nigeria and the neighboring Benin Republic, on official business.

Bamidele Makinde, Controller of the Ogun 1 Area Command, met Adeniyi upon his arrival at Idiroko at around 11 a.m.

During his stay, the customs chief bowed before Ipokia’s Onipokia, Oba Yisa Olaniyan, and Ikolaje’s Oniko, Oba John Ojo, as well as other local monarchs.

In addition, he spoke with border patrol agents and Benin Republic officials.

Adeniyi called for cooperation between and cooperation among sister security services while appealing to traditional norms and border communities for assistance.
