The NSCDC has deployed 2,350 people to provide security in Osun

According to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Osun State Command, 2,350 troops have been deployed across the state to provide appropriate security during the Yuletide season.

Kehinde Adeleke, the NSCDC spokeswoman in Osun, stated this in a statement made accessible to journalists on Wednesday in Osogbo.

She stated that the workers have been mandated to provide covert/overt intelligence as well as 24 hour surveillance in order to thwart illegal operations.

Sunday Agboola, the NSCDC State Commandant, has also promised the people of a robust security setup in the state, according to her.

Adeleke stated that personnel will be sent to worship centers, markets, recreation centers, critical infrastructure, and other hotspots throughout the state.

“The commandant therefore warned miscreants who are planning to cause breakdown of law and order to have a change of mind, as they would be made to face the full wrath of the law.” She continued,

According to Adeleke, Agboola stated that “NSCDC would collaborate with other sister agencies to provide adequate security in Osun State.”

He also asked personnel deployed for the task to remain civil but tough in carrying out their responsibilities.
