Timo Werner of RB Leipzig appears to be on his way back to England.

According to Sky Germany, the 27-year-old former Chelsea Premier League player will join Tottenham.

Spurs are interested in signing Werner on loan until the end of the season.

Werner was offered to Manchester United during the January transfer window, but he appears to be returning to London this month.

Tottenham are expected to pay the player’s whole salary till the end of the current season.

Ange Postecoglou’s team will be without club captain Heung-Min Son for at least a month due to his involvement in the Asia Cup, and Alejo Veliz may have sustained a long-term knee injury.

Werner has appeared in just eight Bundesliga games for Leipzig this season, scoring two goals. His current deal expires in the summer of 2026.
