Nasarawa Assembly adopts Appropriation Bill 2024

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly approved the N199.9 billion Appropriation Bill for 2024, as submitted by Governor Abdullahi Sule, on Wednesday.

During plenary on Wednesday, Speaker Danladi Jatau announced the bill’s passage.

According to him, if approved by the governor, the passed budget would enhance the state’s economic growth and development.

“The total sum of N117, 138, 350, 954.18, is for recurring expenditure, while the total sum of N82,741, 019, 755.25, is for capital expenditure,” he explained.

The Speaker congratulated MPs for their efforts in ensuring the bill’s quick approval, saying it demonstrates unity and synergy with the executive branch of government.

He urged the state administration to guarantee that the budget is fully implemented if the governor signs it, and asked the Clerk of the House to provide a clean copy of the bill for the governor’s signature.
