Rio Ferdinand reveals his most despised Arsenal player.

Rio Ferdinand, a former defender for Manchester United, has claimed that his hatred of Arsenal icon Ian Wright dates back to their playing days.

According to Rio Ferdinand, this was the case when he played for West Ham United.

In 270 games for the Gunners across all competitions, Wright scored 168 goals and added 12 assists.

In addition, he was instrumental in Arsene Wenger’s squad bringing home five championships between 1991 and 1998.

After starting his career at West Ham, Ferdinand played for the London club all the way through to the year 2000.

During this time, he faced Ian Wright and the Arsenal.

On his FIVE YouTube channel, he recalled, “We had a corner, and I was staying back on the halfway line marking Wrighty, and as they were setting up, he was just looking at me.”

He was trying to be a wind-up, all screwed up and facing me, and I looked over at him because he’s so little.

Then I shoved his hands away and asked, “What are you doing?” “And then he pushed me in my head.” and all he did was chuckle; it was then that I realized how much I detested him.

After the game, I told my friends on the estate, “I can’t stand Wrighty, he ain’t what we thought he was man, the way he treated me like that.”
