The IGP has approved the posting of Police Public Relations Officers

The deployment of Police Public Relations Officers (PPROs) to various state commands and formations has been approved by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun.

According to ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Force Public Relations Officer at Force Headquarters in Abuja, the assignment intends to promote community participation and communication.

The newly appointed officers are in charge of building strong relationships between the Nigeria Police Force and the communities they serve.

SP Ayuba Tunni Umma has been assigned to PPRO Zone 2, Lagos; SP Hauwa Idris Adamu to PPRO Nigeria Police Cooperative; DSP Ejire Adetoun Adeyemi to PPRO Kwara State; ASP Unah Paul Echefunachi to PPRO Ebonyi; ASP Rufa’i Ahmed to PPRO Sokoto; and ASP Musa Mohammed to PPRO Bayelsa.

Similarly, ASP Abuka Pius has been assigned to the Force Public Relations Department’s Public Complaint Bureau at Force Headquarters in Abuja.

The Inspector General of Police highlights the value of community participation in policing, urging newly assigned officers to collaborate extensively with the communities they serve.

The IGP charged them with enforcing the policing ideals and community-oriented activities being implemented by the respective commanders and formation leaders.
