Rice tells Arsenal fans: Don’t judge me after three weeks

Declan Rice, a midfielder for Arsenal, has asked supporters to hold off judgment until he has played more than a few games for the club.

He reassured his fans that his high asking price was nothing to worry about.

Rice denied that his status as the first British record signing puts any pressure on him.

The Englishman moved to Arsenal from West Ham this summer for a record-breaking fee of £105 million, where he will play for Mikel Arteta’s team.

I don’t truly think about it,” the English midfielder told ESPN. It’s completely insane to even consider. I was told, “Yeah, OK, I’ve been sold for £100m,’ but to be honest, I haven’t given it any thought. That’s the price tag I’m carrying around from now on. Don’t judge me for two or three weeks, judge me on the price tag.”
