Tobechukwu Victor Okoh, better known as Peruzzi, a Nigerian artist, has disclosed that iconic musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, aka 2Baba, is his mentor.

Peruzzi acknowledged to stealing his words and musical approach from the ‘African Queen’ crooner “a lot.”

Peruzzi was interviewed on a recent episode of Pop Central’s Zero Conditions program.

“2Baba is my daddy [mentor,” he stated. I take a lot of cues from him. If you listened to ‘Amaka,’ you’d notice I duplicated his verse and only modified a few things.

“I still copy from him to this day.” “I have to tell you the truth.”

During the show, Peruzzi also remarked that he is a “special” musician since he is an all-arounder.

“When it comes to music, I can do it all.” You’ve met every artist; they know some things but not everything. “That’s why I’m unique,” he explained.
