The Ogun Assembly receives Abiodun’s nominees for commissioner from his office

Prince Dapo Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, has submitted a list of commissioner nominees to the state assembly.

The Rt. Hon. Olakunle Oluomo, Speaker of the Assembly, verified this on Friday.

Oluomo stated that Governor Abiodun had written to the Assembly urging that his nominations for commission seats be approved.

A letter from the governor asking the confirmation of the nominations by the parliamentarians was delivered to the Speaker on July 27, 2023, as stated in a statement released by Clerk/Head of Legislative Service, Mr. Deji Adeyemo.

In his letter to the speaker, the governor writes, “I write once again to congratulate Mr. Speaker on your re-election into office as Rt. Honourable Speaker of the 10th Assembly and subsequent inauguration of all members of the Honourable House.” During the first term of our administration, I was fortunate to have the support and collaboration of the Honourable House.

For your review and consideration, Mr. Speaker, and in furtherance of our purpose in creating our beautiful State together, please find attached the list of nominees for the post of commissioners.

The declaration made it clear that the regulation would go into effect on Tuesday, 1 August 2023, and that the Speaker would make the list public during the next plenary day.
