Candidates for the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will pay extra, according to Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), since operators of computer-based test (CBT) centers require expensive diesel.
Oloyede went on to say that JAMB merely made the payment collection process easier so that applicants wouldn’t be taken advantage of by the operators.

Additionally, he chastised several universities for inflating the number of applicants accepted for a given term.
