Plateau massacre: OPSH refutes Sector Commander’s arrest report

The Special Military Task Force of Operation Safe Haven, OPSH, denied on Thursday the arrest of its Sector Commander in Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area in connection with recent attacks in the area.

According to a statement published by Captain James Oya, the OPSH’s media officer in Jos.

Oya criticized the study as incorrect, misleading, and intended to denigrate the efforts of the military and other security services in addressing the state’s present security concerns.

“The report is not only false, but it is a deliberate attempt to tarnish the reputation of our valiant troops and undermine OPSH’s efforts to bring those responsible for the heinous acts to justice.”

“OPSH, a multi-agency security initiative, has worked tirelessly to address the recurring security challenges in Plateau and its environs.”

“The dedication and commitment of our troops remain unwavering in ensuring the safety and security of the affected communities,” he went on to say.

The OPSH is a special military task group tasked with keeping the peace in Plateau and sections of Kaduna and Bauchi states.
