“I don’t think I’ve got any regrets in life,” Bello stated in a recent interview with TVC. I used to feel that leaving my ex-husband and kids behind in the United States and moving to Nigeria meant losing everything. That was one of my worst regrets.
Years later, my kids arrived, and we struck up a conversation. We always take a seat and chat. I therefore began telling my kids stories. What was even more meaningful to me was when my daughter said to me, “Mummy, I’m so glad you did what you did.” I realized that I should pursue my dream after witnessing you achieve it. You’re old enough to handle this? That implies there are no restrictions and I can succeed.
“I used to regret the divorce, but see how God worked it out.” It’s no longer a regret, then.
