The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has requested the protection services of Kaduna State to guard its storage facilities.

The EBANTAL reports that in Adamawa State, criminals stole medicine from the NEMA storage.

Abbani Imam, zonal coordinator of the NEMA Office in Kaduna, has requested that security personnel increase their patrols outside the agency’s storage facility in light of the recent events.

All security agencies, he claims, are working together with NEMA after Kaduna NEMA received orders to get in touch with them, particularly the Disaster Risks Units (DRUs).

We have alerted the local DPOs in the areas where our warehouses are located. We’ve also alerted all SSS personnel and are keeping a careful eye on developments, he added.

He assured everyone that the situation is being monitored on the ground and that those who need to know will be kept up to date.
