The Army has urged NSCDC to always share intelligence in the fight against criminals

Major General Jamal Abdussalam, GOC of the 6th Division of the Nigerian Army, has commented on the importance of constant intelligence sharing between the chiefs of security agencies in order to flush out bandits and other criminal activities.

Major General Jamal Abdussalam made this remark, according to a statement released by Lieutenant Colonel Iweha Ikedichi, Ag Deputy Director, Public Relations, when he received a visit from the Rivers State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Basil Igwebueze.

In a statement released after the visit, he expressed gratitude to the Commandant and said the NSCDC had become a trusted ally of the Nigerian Army.

He praised the corps’ professionalism, particularly among the officers’ cadre, and advised the Commandant to speak to the men about raising their own standards. should personnel of the Corps came under attack in Emuoha Local Government Area Council, the GOC reaffirmed the commitment of the Division towards aiding the Corps should the necessity arose. Igwebueze, who was accompanied by members of his management team on his visit to the GOC, had earlier advocated for a strengthening of ties between the NSCDC’s State Command and the 6th Division of the Nigerian Army.

The visit to the Division mascot and the exchanging of souvenirs were the highlights of the trip.
